Update iPhone 2G, 3G, iPod Touch 1G, 2G To iOS 7 Free

The post that many of you have been waiting for... Whited00r 7!!!!!!!  This great firmware called Whited00r has been created that can be installed to your ipod touch 1G or 2G or your iPhone 2G or 3G. The firmware was built to allow most of the features of iOS 7 to be used by people with these older devices. It is also possible to download apps that are only available to newer firmware devices. This was a lifesaver for me because it allowed me to speed up my old iPod touch 2G and to download newer applications. Not to mention it saved me money since I didn't have to buy a new iDevice. Here are the steps using an iPod touch 2G as an example:

Head over to Whited00r and click the tab for the device you want updated.

Download the firmware as either a torrent or a mirror file, whichever you prefer!
Open the .zip file and extract to your desktop
Open iTunes and plug in your device to the computer
Put your iDevice in DFU mode so it can be restored.
Navigate to your desktop and choose to restore from the firmware that you extracted to your desktop.

Allow iTunes to restore your iDevice and when complete, your iDevice will be running Whited00r 7 firmware!

Play around with all of the settings to adjust everything you want. Enjoy!

Note:  If you don't like the Whited00r firmware then you can always restore your iDevice back to factory default!
